Abandoned House in the Woods Full of the Family's Belongings

March 6, 2022

This abandoned house was a two-story craftsman style home that sat on 2 acres and dates back nearly 100 years. The single family home was built in 1929 and featured 3 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and measured at nearly 1700 square feet. The abandoned home appears to have been vacated for many years, as nearly everything inside was old and outdated. The photos and portraits that still sat on the various tables all appear to be at least 30 years old. The house has a lot roof and other structural damage, most likely from all the years of water damage and neglect, that have allowed for the natural elements to come in and take over. The exterior of the home has a look as if it’s being swallowed by the surrounding woods, as the trees and other greenery have covered the outside of the home making it almost impossible to see from the road nearby. Nature has taken over multiple antique cars that were still parked in the driveway. One car was still sitting in the covered car port, which appears that it’s about to collapse any day.

There are multiple rumors going around that this abandoned house was once lived in by notorious serial killer, Stephen Parnell, but we have not been able to debunk or prove that. This abandoned house was one of the very best that we have explored because of the history, the natural decay, and of course because everything was left behind by the family that last lived here. For more photos of this amazing abandoned house, check out the blog at abandonedcentral.com. Thank you for all your support.
